Winter sports lovers must know already where to go if they want the ultimate skiing experience possible. These 10 US resorts are the best skiing getaways.

If you’re not into farming you’ll probably need more than five reasons to go to The Inn at Shelburne Farms (New York). Should you choose to spend the weekend here, be sure you will not have the time to get bored.

You’ll breathe in history
That’s right, because in the 19th century this place used to be the called “home” by Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb. While the inn has been restored, it still maintains a historic atmosphere. Additionally it is luxurious and very welcoming.

Taking a walk
You must be thinking that you can take a walk just about anywhere else, however here you have more than 10 miles of trails to explore by foot. If the weather is not too bad, visitors have access to these trails year round. During certain months of the year, you can come with your dog.

Go on a tour
There are 3 tours you can choose from: the Daily Property Tours in an open-air wagon, the House & Formal Gardens Tour lasting for an hour and a half that ends with cookies, and the Historic Barns Tour that lasts close to 2 hours. The tours take place in the warmer months only.

Come with the kids
If you have very curios kids they will surely love to come to the Children’s Farmyard. There are plenty of things to check out at the Children’s Farmyard: watching the chicken parade, milking a cow, seeing how a goat gets milked, collect eggs, pet a rabbit, and even spin wool. Life on the farm is surely not boring!

Have a small reunion
No matter the type of reunion or celebration you have, you might be able to fit it in a very private and intimate setting. The room can hold up to 28 people, but small parties, celebrations, and weddings will become that more meaningful and special.
