Head to Phoenix, Arizona in the US and see some of these great places:
Camelback Mountain is the highest peak in the city at 2,704 feet high. It’s a great area for hiking and when you get to the top you have a fantastic view of the city. It’s in Echo Canyon Park and admission is free.
The Phoenix Zoo covers 125 acres over four different trails. Some of the animals it houses include baboons, polar bears, Galapagos tortoises, a petting zoo, and a Butterfly Pavilion. The kids can ride on a half hour train tour for a few bucks.
Phoenix Art Museum
The Phoenix Art Museum has over 17,000 pieces of artwork dating back to the Renaissance. Some of these were done by artists like Diego Rivera, Frederic Remington, Henry Moore, Frida Kahlo, and more.
Come see the Arizona Diamondbacks play baseball at Chase. It’s in the downtown area of the city and there are also tours you can take, as well as a place to eat and a swimming pool.
Golf Courses in Phoenix
Phoenix is known as a premiere location for playing golf destination and there are hundreds of golf courses with levels from beginners to experts. One of the best is the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, built in 1928 and has two 18-hole courses, a driving range, pro shop and restaurant.
Pueblo Grande Museum and Cultural Park
If you love history and archaeology buffs come to Pueblo Grande where there is the ruins of a Hohokam village that is the site of a mysterious disappearance of all of the residents. See the ruins and some artifacts.
Iglesia El Rosario
The Iglesia El Rosario is a rare non-colonial building with rainbow colored glass, a high arched roof, and an interesting inside full of scrap-metal figures. Padre Delgado, the Father of Central American independence, is buried there.
